Dr. Schmidt, originally from New Zealand, having completed his academic journey at the prestigious University of Otago in Dunedin, Dr. Schmidt embarked on his professional career at Christchurch Hospital, where he was an integral part of the Maxillofacial/Dental unit. His time at the hospital allowed him to gain invaluable surgical, specialist, and medical experience. Following his tenure at the hospital, Dr. Schmidt transitioned to private practice in Christchurch, further honing his skills and establishing a reputation for excellence in patient care.
“Dentistry is more than a profession to me; it’s a passion that blends healthcare, science, art, and personal connection,” says Dr. Schmidt.
Outside of dental, Dr. Schmidt is an avid musician with a particular talent for playing the oboe. He has performed in various venues across New Zealand with different orchestras and groups and is eager to continue pursuing this passion in Queensland.
